The Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the operational aspects of the credit union, including branch operations, lending, IT services and member programs. The Operations Manager reports to and works collaboratively with President/CEO to ensure cohesive operations throughout the branch.
Duties include:
Member Experience: Provides exceptional member service. Proficient in all aspects of member service including deposits, withdrawals, opening accounts and facilitating member account needs.
Operational Leadership: Direct and supervise operational staff, including training, scheduling of front-line staff, supervision of front-line staff, providing guidance and training about credit union policies and procedures to staff.
Lending: Loan officer duties include full spectrum of lending skills from answering member questions about loans to accepting and processing loan applications, decisioning loan requests, completing loan papers and finalizing loan with members. Also included is monitoring loan delinquency and speaking to members about their delinquent loans.
Back office: Responsible for supervision of ACH transactions including setting up ACH payments for loans, daily ACH balancing. Other duties include posting district payroll deduction batches.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of credit union policies and procedures and how they relate to federal and state regulations including NCUA and IDFPR while ensuring all operations comply with applicable laws.
Technical Skills: proficiency in financial technologies, operational systems and lending tools.
Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Strong problem-solving, decision making and solution-oriented skills to drive operational efficiency and member satisfaction.
Completes other duties as assigned including special projects.

Hours:
The credit union is not equipped for remote work. The position is considered “in-branch” exclusively.
Monday-Friday 10-5:30 p.m. plus every other Saturday 9-noon. Average work week is 35-40 hours.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred or more than 5 years in credit union or banking operations with team or branch management experience for at least 2 years.
Benefits:
Salary Range $72,000-$76,000 depending on experience
Health Insurance up to $900 per month
IRA Contribution: 7.5% of salary deposited to IRA account at credit union
Life Insurance: 2X annual salary up to maximum of $200,000 (after 6 months)
Vacation/PTO: 10 days paid vacation (must be used in calendar year, does not accumulate)
Sick time: 30 days paid sick leave per year (does not accumulate)
Salary : $72,000 - $76,000
