Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities through referrals, networking, community involvement, and prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
- Review customers' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
- Prepare quotes and present insurance options across multiple carriers.
- Cross-sell additional insurance products to existing clients.
- Service existing accounts by assisting with policy changes, renewals, and coverage reviews.
- Respond promptly to customer questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Work closely with carrier partners to obtain competitive pricing and coverage options.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the agency management system.
- Stay current on insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Illinois Property & Casualty License required.
- Life & Health License preferred.
- Previous insurance sales or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with computers and agency management systems.
- Dependable and flexible, with the ability to work M-F 9am-5pm, with afterhours availability as business is needed.
