Position Overview:
The Nurse Healthcare Manager plays a vital role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Adult Day Center, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our clients. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a deep commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services and engagement activities.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Management:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train caregivers, engagement specialists, and volunteers.
- Provide ongoing supervision, counseling, and support to team members.
- Ensure staff receive necessary in-services and meet the required credentialing guidelines per policy and procedure. This also includes ensuring employee files are in compliance per regulations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement employee recognition programs to foster a positive work environment.
2. Budget Management:
- Responsible for managing the center's budget, including employee hours, supplies, and other operational expenses.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation to meet client needs while maintaining financial sustainability.
3. Client Services:
- Evaluate and assess clients for optimal healthcare needs, including medication management and head to toe assessment.
- Coordinate and manage healthcare services to enable clients to remain in their homes and communities for as long as possible such as coordinating wellness care, communicate with client physicians, case managers, healthcare team, and family to ensure clients receive wholistic care and treatment.
- Maintain regular communication and updates with clients' family members regarding their loved one's care.
- Complete all daily, monthly, and annually required documentation.
4. Operations Management:
- Oversee daily operations, including ensuring the provision of food services and engaging activities for clients, utilizing company software as designated to include competency with software and the ability to provide training and support to staff as needed.
- Ensure adequate supervision of staff and clients.
- Upholding company policy and procedures in the Employee Handbook.
- Manage and allocate resources efficiently to meet client needs.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all clients.
5. Referrals and Admissions:
- Submit referrals for healthcare services as needed.
- Manage the admission process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition into our center.
- Maintain ongoing communication with client and client representative until the referral is admitted.
- Encourage staff members to make referrals.
- Utilize tours and free day passes to entice potential clients to visit the facility.
- Foster community involvement by building relationships and making connections with community organizations to increase volunteerism and support of the facility.
6. Marketing and Client Satisfaction:
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and increase enrollment.
- Maintain strong relationships with case management and community healthcare providers, as well as church and faith communities.
- Monitor and enhance client satisfaction through regular feedback and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Previous experience in healthcare management or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
- Marketing and community outreach experience is a plus.

Successful performance of essential functions can best be achieved through consistent application of current knowledge, use of good judgment, common sense, ability to establish and carry out priorities, effective use of interpersonal skills and ongoing communication with clients, staff, families, and government agencies, including state surveyors.
This job cannot be performed without exposure to the stressed associated with an intimate, 24hour client care environment that delivers care and services primarily to disabled, cognitive impaired and elderly population. Examples of these stresses include, but are not limited to: shift rotation, weekend and holiday duty, unusual or impaired behavior by clients, family reactions to having a loved one requiring care and services, death and dying, oversight of state surveyors, federal officials, and variable involvement of medical staff.
Essential function area carried out in a variety of positions including standing and sitting. To meet clients’ needs. Virtually all positions require the ability to move freely through the clients’ environment and agency. Stooping, bending, lifting and carrying, as well as other physical demands may be required as described in the Essential Physical Demands of this position.
Work- Schedule
The Nurse Care Manager schedule allows employees to maintain work-life balance which allows the employee to have time for leisure and rest. The scheduled work days are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The company is closed on the following holidays: Marting Luther King Jr. Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
