Job Role: The Safety Manager will be responsible for driving the company’s safety strategy by managing training programs, conducting incident investigations, leading job hazard analyses, maintaining OSHA compliance, and ensuring emergency response preparedness. The role reports to the VP of Engineering and collaborates with executive leadership to continuously improve safety performance and employee engagement in safety practices.

Key Duties:

• Manage and oversee the company safety program
• Manage employee safety training and certification programs
• Conduct and document incident investigations
• Maintain illness and injury prevention programs
• Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs)
• Ensure OSHA and other regulatory compliance
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning
• Serve as subject matter expert on environmental health and safety (EHS) policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Demonstrated leadership experience or desire to grow into a leadership role
• Strong communication skills to lead safety initiatives and influence change
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and independently
• Must pass pre-employment and regular drug screening (safety-sensitive role)

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods.
• Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., office supplies, small equipment).

Preferences:

• Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment
• Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety regulations
• Interest in mechanical systems, process improvement, or MEP construction
