The Logistics/Maritime Prepositioning Planning Analyst provides specialized logistics planning for Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) operations and sustainment of MARCENT forces. This role analyzes and supports MPF planning requirements across the AOR, prepares maritime logistics documentation in support of operational plans, coordinates logistics planning with Naval and joint partners, and monitors sustainment activities for prepositioned equipment. With 5–7 years of logistics planning experience and expertise in MPF operations, doctrine, and policy implementation, the analyst ensures that USMC MPF and joint maritime logistics operations align with service and joint policies. By combining knowledge of MPF doctrine with operational planning skills, the Logistics/Maritime Prepositioning Planning Analyst strengthens MARCENT’s ability to project and sustain combat power through prepositioned resources. ***THIS EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD***
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Analyze and support Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) planning requirements for the AOR.
- Prepare maritime logistics documentation to support operational plans.
- Coordinate logistics planning with Naval and joint partners.
- Monitor sustainment activities for prepositioned equipment.
- Apply expertise in USMC MPF operations, doctrine, and policy implementation.
Supplemental Duties:
- Assist MARCENT leadership in identifying MPF sustainment gaps and recommending solutions.
- Support development of SOPs for MPF logistics planning and execution.
- Contribute to joint/coalition planning conferences for maritime logistics operations.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain compliance with MARCENT administrative procedures and reporting requirements.
- Ensure MPF logistics documentation is archived according to records management standards.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Education/Experience/Qualification:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in logistics or maritime prepositioning planning.
- Expertise in the Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) program, including USMC MPF operations and doctrine.
- Experience implementing service and joint policy for maritime logistics operations.
- TS/SCI clearance required.
Additional Skills:
- Ability to integrate MPF logistics requirements into operational plans.
- Strong coordination and communication skills for working with Naval and joint partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and logistics planning tools.
- Analytical skills to assess sustainment requirements for prepositioned equipment.
Location:
Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.
Work Environment:
Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff. Includes participation in maritime logistics conferences and MPF planning events.
Physical Demands:
Primarily sedentary office work with extensive computer use. May involve travel to maritime logistics sites and conferences.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600.
May require flexibility during MPF planning cycles.
License and Other Requirements:
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC).
