Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Innovative Radiology MRI Technologist performs a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures and is responsible for conducting high-quality MRI screenings that capture clear images for optimal diagnostic assessments.
- The MRI Technologist is responsible for ensuring patient safety, quality, and compliance in all aspects of their job functions.
- The MRI Technologist prioritizes and maintains a safe working environment for patients, staff and visitors at all times. This includes utilizing hearing protection, receiving proper documentation for any implants and properly assesses patients to avoid any risks associated with MRI.
- The MRI Technologist clearly understands the MRI zones and maintains compliance within those zones.
- The MRI Technologist is responsible for maintaining an appropriate inventory of supplies needed to administer care and prudently utilizes materials.
- The MRI Technologist graciously assists patients throughout all facets of their appointment. They answer questions and provide detailed information about what will occur before, during, and after the procedure. They are responsible forprescreening patients for any potential contraindications.
- The MRI Technologist records detailed information into the electronic medical record system to ensure accurate documentation and complete patient reporting.
- The MRI Technologist demonstrates exemplary interpersonal communication skills in their interactions with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
- The MRI Technologist will problem solve and address questions and concerns as they arise related to equipment, supplies, and patient care.
- The MRI Technologist will maintain a professional appearance and will be an ambassador of the organization in their patient-centered approach to care and service.
- The MRI Technologist will train and on-board new team members as needed.
- The MRI Technologist is responsible for protecting the privacy and security of patient information.
- This Innovative Radiology team member will assume additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to optimally assist the organization and its patients.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
This position requires a high school diploma and gradated from an accredited ARRT program.
- Certification by the ARRT with additional certification in MRI preferred.
- An Iowa Permit to Practice is required .
- BLS is required.
- At least two years of prior experience in an imaging/radiology/MRI environment is required.
- Three years of previous experience as an MRI Technologist is preferred.
- MRSO is preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $60.00 per hour
