Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Second Shift Intermodal Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of containers to transport efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight documentation, and delivery records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues that arise during routes.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience driving manual transmission trucks preferred.
- Prior experience with intermodal transportation highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving.
- Proven ability to operate tractor-trailers safely over long distances during the second shift hours. This position is essential for maintaining efficient logistics operations and ensuring customer satisfaction through dependable delivery services during the second shift hours.
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50.0 – 70.0 per week
