Machine Learning Engineer | Search, Ranking, and Personalization
Location: New York City (Full-time, in-person) – 100% Onsite
Type: Fulltime
What We’re Looking For
· 3-7 years of experience as an ML Engineer, Applied Scientist, or similar role
· Strong background in search, ranking, retrieval, recommendation systems, or personalization
· Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch preferred)
· Experience deploying ML models into production and maintaining them over time
· Familiarity with large-scale data processing (Ray, PySpark, or similar)
· Experience with embeddings, representation learning, or vector retrieval systems
· Ability to partner with engineering and product teams to ship user-facing ML features
· Strong intuition for modeling tradeoffs, experimentation, and measuring impact
Nice to Haves
· Experience with real-time inference systems and low-latency model serving
· Experience with vector databases, ANN search libraries, or large-scale similarity search
· Experience at an early-stage startup or in fast-experimentation environment
· Background working on consumer search or recommendation systems
· Experience with cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure)
