What We Are Looking For
- Experienced Industrial Electronic Field Service Technician w/an electro-mechanical background.
- VFD and PLC background
- Strong electro-mechanical problem solvers
- Positive attitude and energetic personality
- Good writing and oral communication skills
- Able to work effectively with others and independently
- Ability to multi-task
- Self-driven, well organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Performs troubleshooting of PLC’s, HMI’s, Motion Controllers, AC/DC drives, and industrial devices for Innovative IDM customers.
- On-site troubleshooting and electronic repair of simple to complex production machinery
- Installation and start-up of industrial control systems
- Participate in a rotational “On Call” after hour call service
- Work with both internal and external customers.
- Performs field retrofits and start-up services of large-scale complex control systems.
- Possesses a “do whatever it takes” mentality to service and repair products to meet the needs of the customer.
- Researches and resolves difficult technical service situations in a calm, professional and efficient manner.
- This is not an IT role.
- Must have 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting industrial electronic controls to include relays, contactors, solenoids and control logic.
- Must have the ability to read and understand electrical-electronic schematic diagrams.
- The skill required to troubleshoot, repair, and program AC VFDs and DC motor controls.
- The ability to troubleshoot PLC’s and Servo motion controllers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-starter who works independently and is self-motivated.
- Exhibits creativity and tenacity to troubleshoot and repair all types of electronic and industrial devices.
- Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency.
- Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Electrical/electronic ACAD and PLC programming experience is a plus.
- Four-year degree preferred.
