Personal Care Assistant
Duties:
- Provide assistance with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices as needed
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met
- Support medication management by reminding and assisting clients with taking prescribed medications
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including tidying up living areas and doing laundry
- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
- Accompany clients to appointments or outings as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to client's location
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
