Responsibilities
- Assist with surface preparation including sanding and scrap and preparing.
- Supporting the painters.
- Set up and safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and power tools to access high or hard-to-reach areas.
- Prepare indutial areas painting surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and masking areas for precise application.
- Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection, using proper safety gear, and adhering to all safety protocols on-site.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to assist with detailed painting tasks such as structural or industrial coating projects.
- Basic knowledge of Industrial equipment site safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding setup.
- Familiarity with surface preparation techniques such as sanding, and cleaning surfaces before painting.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching and visual color comparison skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods, climb ladders safely, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage and surface area.
- Industrial estimating experience or knowledge is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
