CNC Machinist
Job Description:
A CNC Machinist is required to support the manufacture and assembly of automation systems from simple fixtures to high precision tools and complex automated manufacturing equipment. We support these builds with our own in-house machine shop which makes the majority of the required details needed for our builds. We operate mills, lathes, grinders, EDM’s, fabrication equipment, and almost any machining center required for the manufacturing of automation solutions.
Duties/Responsibilites:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Operate manual equipment such as milling, drilling, turning, and grinding
· Operate CNC equipment such as milling, drilling, turning, and grinding
· Utilize precision gages such as edge finders, micrometers, calipers, etc. in the evaluation of machined details
· Assist with miscellaneous shop duties as needed
Qualifications:
The candidate for this position should have basic experience with the operation of manual machining equipment as well as understanding machine setup, programming and the operation of CNC machinery. An understanding of the use of Wire EDM machinery is a plus.
· Must have your own tools to bring with you on site.
· Must be able to read and understand engineering prints & documentation and machine detail prints.
· Must have good math skills
· Must have the ability to program a CNC Mill or CNC lathe. We utilize Mazatrol and MasterCam in our facility.
· Electrical knowledge is a plus but not required.
· Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
Degree Requirements:
High School Diploma, Formal Vocational Training preferred
Years of Experience:
3-5 years preferred but will teach as required
Required IT Skills:
In order to support proper communications in our organization, the candidate must be or become proficient in the use of Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, and OneNote.
