Registered Behavior Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team in providing high-quality behavioral health services. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). This role involves supporting clients in developing essential skills, managing behaviors, and improving overall quality of life through evidence-based interventions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in behavioral therapy, experience working with children, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) using ABA techniques.
• Collect and record data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and feeding to promote independence.
• Support clients in developing communication, social, and self-care skills through teaching strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Manage and modify behavior using positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date medical documentation, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including special education professionals, medical staff, and family members to ensure cohesive care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ethical standards related to patient care, confidentiality, and medical records management.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable.
• Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies is beneficial.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation procedures, and HIPAA compliance is advantageous.
• Teaching experience or background in special education can enhance effectiveness in this role.
• Candidates should demonstrate patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with people with autism or other behavioral health needs. Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
