Job Summary:
The HVAC Install Helper supports lead HVAC installers by assisting with the installation, replacement, and maintenance of heating and cooling systems. This position involves transporting materials, preparing job sites, using hand and power tools, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation systems.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials to job sites.
- Help prepare and clean work areas before and after installations.
- Measure, cut, and assemble ductwork, piping, and other HVAC components.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Follow instructions from lead installers and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow OSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate professionally with team members and customers when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and dependable attendance.
