Teacher Assistant
Bring your energy, creativity, and love of learning to IE STEM! We’re seeking a caring Teacher Assistant to support our classroom teachers and help children feel safe, included, and excited to explore.
We’ll help you develop new STEM skills and build confidence supporting hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math activities.
You will:
- Assist with preparing materials and implementing classroom activities.
- Work with children individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
- Support social and emotional development and provide extra help for children with individual learning needs.
- Observe children’s progress and share updates with the classroom teacher.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, play, and field trips.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom.
We’re looking for:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- One year of teaching assistant experience preferred.
- An energetic, patient approach and a love of working with children.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Our founder, a licensed behavior specialist who presents workshops for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, provides classroom management guidance and support.
