Goals and Responsibilities

Our primary goal is to ensure that every student receives a high school diploma and is prepared to persist in college or their career pathway.

We believe every student can learn. Our teachers plan and internalize their instructional materials to ensure that each unit, lesson, and assessment is rigorous and individually differentiated based on the specific learning needs and interests of students in their classes. Our teachers teach five periods each day and employ models to deliver standards-based lessons that push the educational attainment of all learners. Teachers collaborate with special educators, multilingual learner teachers, interventionists and instructional leaders to provide targeted support and enrichment for all learners.

Cultivate Innovation's core values and essential skills

Throughout our professional practice, we embody our school's core values of Innovation, Collaboration, Respect, Safety, Activism, and Accountability. Our teachers not only model these values in their daily interactions but also instill them in their students, creating a classroom culture where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered to take action. Teachers explicitly teach social-emotional skills, helping students build self-awareness, manage emotions, and develop positive relationships, while also equipping them with essential skills for success in and out of the classroom. By using restorative practices to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and the love of lifelong learning, teachers guide students in becoming advocates for themselves and others, capable of navigating challenges and driving change in their communities. Our teachers ensure that students are not only prepared academically but also equipped with the tools to be thoughtful, resilient, and engaged citizens that will persist in college, career, or their chosen post-secondary pathway.

Continuous Professional Development

Learning is a lifelong endeavor. Our teachers receive support and professional development from the Principal, Assistant Principals, IEP coordinator,  Department Chairs, and may also receive external professional development.
