Key Responsibilities include:
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Route calls to the appropriate hospital departments or personnel
- Provide general information to callers regarding hospital services and locations
- Assist with paging and emergency communications when required
- Maintain accurate communication logs and records
- Respond calmly and effectively during high call volume periods
- Provide courteous and helpful assistance to patients, visitors, and hospital staff
- Follow established communication procedures and privacy guidelines
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in customer service, call center operations, or telecommunications preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills and clear speaking voice
- Ability to handle multiple calls and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy or stressful situations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to complete required training and comply with facility policies
