Position Summary
Monitors provide continuous safety, supervision, and support services for homeless Veterans residing in the CTRS tiny shelter community. This role ensures a safe, orderly, and supportive environment while performing operational and resident support functions required by the PWS.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous monitoring of facility and residents
- Perform routine:
- Patrols and walkthroughs (every 30 minutes)
- Wellness checks on residents
- Observe and report:
- Suspicious activity
- Safety hazards
- Behavioral concerns
- Respond to:
- Emergencies
- Incidents
- Resident needs
- Assist with resident support activities, including:
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation
- Daily living assistance
- Support operational functions:
- Meal distribution (including Safe Parking participants)
- Laundry access and monitoring
- Distribution of supplies (linens, hygiene items)
- Maintain accurate documentation:
- Daily logs
- Incident reports
- Inventory tracking
- Assist with:
- Intake/admissions
- Discharge processes
- Ensure cleanliness and order of common areas
- Monitor facility systems and report maintenance issues
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in:
- Customer service
- Security
- Social services (preferred)
Required Certifications (Must Obtain Upon Hire)
- CPR / First Aid
- Narcan (Overdose Response)
- Food Handler Certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods
- Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
