Job description

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous QA Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of quality assurance tests and inspections to ensure all products meet our high-quality standards before reaching the customer.

Job Type: Full-Time,

• Hours: 6:00 a.m.- 2:30 pm
• Schedule: Monday thru Friday

Compensation:

• $17.05 /hr. for candidates with no prior experience

Key Responsibilities

• 0–1 year food manufacturing/QA experience; food/meat plant experience preferred

USDA knowledge.

• Basic understanding of USDA-FSIS requirements and plant food safety programs

HACCP.

• Basic HACCP training appropriate to assigned duties.
• Training in Sanitation SOPs, GMPs, employee hygiene, and pre-operational/operational sanitation
• Ability to accurately complete records at the time activities occur.
• Able to perform temperatures, weights, visual inspections, CCP/PC checks, and other assigned measurements.
• Able to recognize deviations/nonconformances and immediately notify QA management

Instruments

• Able to properly use and verify/calibrate thermometers, scales, and other QA equipment.
• Able to communicate findings clearly with production, QA management, and USDA personnel when appropriate.
• Perform routine measurement testing on products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Conduct tensile strength testing using designated equipment.
• Perform occasional aqua, creep, and burst tests as needed.
• Communicate any quality issues to the appropriate personnel.

Required Qualifications

• Must be bilingual in Spanish
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of prior QA experience OR machine operator experience that included dimensional measurement inspections.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles and manufacturing environments.
