Controls Engineer – Pennsylvania
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team in Pennsylvania. This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and support advanced control systems for high-speed production equipment and complex industrial processes.
As a Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering robust automation solutions—from concept and design through commissioning and optimization—while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive performance, reliability, and engineering excellence.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for industrial machinery and processes that meet both client and internal requirements.
- Define control system architectures and select appropriate hardware and software components.
- Create, modify, and maintain electrical schematics and system documentation using AutoCAD.
- Program and support industrial controllers including PLCs, DCS, and RTUs, primarily using Rockwell platforms.
- Develop and configure HMI and SCADA systems to deliver effective visualization and operator interfaces.
- Perform software reviews, upgrades, and enhancements to existing control systems.
- Execute system checkouts, advanced troubleshooting, and commissioning activities at client and internal facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process-related issues.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, OEMs, vendors, and contractors throughout design, installation, startup, and commissioning phases.
- Lead small capital projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives from concept through completion.
- Maintain strong client-facing communication and build effective working relationships.
- Ensure control system designs comply with applicable safety, automation, and regulatory standards.
- Stay current with emerging automation technologies, industry trends, and safety best practices.
- Apply functional safety principles and risk-based machine design methodologies
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with industrial control systems.
- Working knowledge of field instrumentation and process control devices.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Pay: $100, $130,000.00 per year
