This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting machines in a direct mail manufacturing environment, with a focus on reducing cost-related errors, exceeding client expectations, driving a safe workplace, and being innovative. Responsibilities include equipment repairs, operations, ensuring safe production standards, and managing the day-to-day functioning of machines and tools critical to our organization.
Shift: 7am-3pm

- Conducts preventative maintenance on machines.
- Troubleshoots maintenance on various machines to ensure efficiency and reduces interruptions of production and quality.
- Inspects equipment and systems for any issues.
- Completes day to day maintenance repairs.
- Follows all departmental SOPs.
- Follows all company policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook.
- Promotes and maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Communicates all safety issues, incidents and near misses observed.
- Reports major problems with machinery and downtime to the Supervisor.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a maintenance technician role, demonstrating strong electrical and mechanical expertise.
- Proven experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a range of equipment, including but not limited to inserters, conveyors, bowes, and forklifts.
- Experience with direct mail manufacturing and press equipment is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles, coupled with exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities focused on continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated leadership, including the ability to train, assist, and mentor other technicians.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Proficiency in running air lines, conduit, and wiring for new and relocated equipment.
- Familiarity with predictive/productive maintenance systems and preventive maintenance programs.
- Adherence to safety procedures (OSHA, lock-out/tag-out, HazCom) and departmental SOPs.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively, learn new skills, be accountable, and perform physical duties under pressure with a flexible schedule.
