A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Mainframe Storage Engineer
Position type: Full Time - Contract
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Richmond, VA
As a Mainframe Storage Engineer, You Will
Responsibilities will span systems engineering activities supporting Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity - includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software. Ability to work under minimal supervision from more seasoned consultants or managers - includes support of senior personnel and project managers on technical projects; may assist and help train junior analysts - includes guiding and providing technical peer reviews. Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors; exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

Required Skills
- DASD management and replication skills.
- Experienced MF Storage Engineer / Administrator with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience
- Strong technical documentation writing skills
- Experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication
- Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations
- Experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension
- Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies
- In-depth knowledge of ACC/SRS, ACS, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS
- Self-starter and able to work without hands-on supervision
- Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX
- Project management skills
- Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge
- Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations
