Laboratory Technician

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Lab Technician.

Position type: Full Time, Contract

Duration: 6 months

Location: Englewood Colorado 80112

Laboratory Technicians operate multiple specialized testing machines and are responsible for all phases of testing for our Data Center Products: test installation, setup, removal, equipment operation and troubleshooting, test monitoring, data acquisition, and test data entry and reporting. Support engineers and technicians, and other laboratory operations or initiatives related to Data Center Product Development.

Day to Day Responsibilities

· 25%: Performing various tests on Data Center hose or products. Includes the operation of specialized hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical equipment, and the use of chemicals. Set and adjust controls, operate data acquisition systems. Monitoring test parameters.

· 25%: Building hose assemblies and preparing various materials test samples. Includes operation of equipment including saws, crimpers, and skivers, and precise measurements.

· 20%: Operation of specialized material testing machines for testing Data Center Products & Hydraulic Hose. Set / adjust controls, operate data acquisition systems. Monitoring testing parameters.

· 15%: Entering test data into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) as required. Completing status reports of current testing and equipment status.

· 15%: Providing support to other team members as needed, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, supporting continuous improvement and quality activities such as procedure and process improvements, cleanliness, and organization.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Strong communication skills:

· Ability to work within a team environment and work through problems smoothly and efficiently with team members.

· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, able to work self-directed with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively

· 4 – 8 years of lab technician experience

· Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Experience working with hydraulic hoses

· Experience operating specialized testing machines, such as hydraulic impulse testers

· Experience operating hand tools such as saws, crimpers, skivers, impact drivers, dremels.

· Experience with measurement tools such as calipers, barometers, and measuring tapes

· Ability to perform mathematical equations

· High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

· Experience with Quality Assurance within a Lab Testing environment

· Data Center experience

· Experience within a Manufacturing industry

· Electrical engineering experience, ability to read schematics

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
