POSITION SUMMARY: Safely and proficiently facilitates the movement of raw material, work in progress, and finished goods into and out of the facility.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (includes essential job functions):
- Follows instructions and direction of supervisor and/or lead.
- Maintains safe and orderly work area.
- Proficiently reads and follows work order directions.
- Assists in the staging of components to provide for maximum shipping efficiencies.
- Offloads, verifies receipts against documents and efficiently locates material in facility.
- Pulls from inventory, verifies quantity, packages and prepares product for shipping to insure product arrives at destination safely and intact.
- Accurately documents shipping and procedures to provide for the highest level of safety and productivity.
- Safely follows all rules and regulations for forklift operation.
- Follows all policies and procedures to provide for the highest level of safety and productivity.
- Safely and efficiently loads and secures materials for over the road transport.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
- Must be proficient in the use of measuring tools
- General computer knowledge
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced detail oriented production/manufacturing environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Good interplant customer service skills
- Must be self-motivated

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
- May be required to climb ladders or work in overhead areas.
- Employee is required to walk throughout the facility during the course of the workday.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to pull and/or push up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
- May be required to bend forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine.
