Position: Videographer Independant Contractor Positions

Innov8 Digital Media is seeking a skilled and creative Independent Contractor Videographer to join our core team of media professionals. We are focused on building long-term, collaborative relationships with talented individuals for a variety of ongoing, project-based work.

What You Will Do

• Capture high-quality video footage for a diverse range of projects, including corporate content, promotional videos, social media campaigns, and narrative productions.
• Work closely with directors, producers, and other team members to execute the creative vision for each project.
• Set up and operate professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment to achieve the desired cinematic look and feel.
• Ensure proper framing, focus, and exposure during shoots.
• Manage and secure all captured footage, preparing it for post-production.
• Utilise our CORE project management system to coordinate schedules, review project briefs, and communicate effectively with the team.
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Proven professional experience as a videographer. A strong showreel or portfolio demonstrating your work is essential for consideration.
• Technical proficiency with a range of professional Sony Cineline cinema cameras, professional lenses, and support equipment.
• A solid understanding of lighting techniques and audio recording principles to ensure high-quality production value.
• A strong creative eye for composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
• Must own and maintain your own professional-grade videography kit, including Sony Cineline camera(s), lenses, tripod, and basic audio/lighting gear.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A professional and reliable approach, with a commitment to meeting project deadlines and maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work effectively within our CORE project management system.
  
  

This is a contract position ideal for a creative and technically proficient professional looking for flexible, project-based work as part of a dedicated team. You will be engaged on a per-project basis.

Requirements

• Valid Public Liability Insurance
• Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Proven professional experience as a videographer
• Own Sony Cineline cameras
• Own lighting equipment
• Own audio equipment
• A solid understanding of lighting techniques
• A solid understanding of audio recording techniques
  
  

Responsibilities

• Use our project management system (CogniTech CORE) to coordinate all projects
• Compile a list of project emergency contacts when required
• Conduct and record a pre-site survey and risk assessment when required
• Conduct and record an on-site survey and risk assessment when required
• Attain necessary permissions when required
• Attend a minimum of one hour project planning meeting per project
• Uphold 48 hour minimum response time to project communications
• Wear company provided uniform when required
