Role: Release Train Engineer

W2 Contract Position

Hybrid Role in Atlanta, GA

JD:

• A servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART).
• Operates within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
• Focuses on program-level coordination, Agile ceremonies, team alignment, and removing impediments.

Release Management

• A process-oriented function responsible for planning, scheduling, tracking, and deploying releases into production.
• Ensures releases are delivered with quality, compliance, and minimal risk.

RTE Responsibilities

• Facilitates PI Planning, System Demos, ART Sync, and Inspect & Adapt.
• Coordinates dependencies across 8–15 Agile teams.
• Removes risks, blockers, and ensures continuous improvement.
• Aligns with Product Management & System Architects.
• Drives transparency using metrics (flow metrics, PI progress, ART burndown).

Release Management Responsibilities

• Owns the end-to-end release lifecycle.
• Creates release calendars, cut-over plans, and deployment schedules.
• Manages versioning, release notes, change approvals (CAB), and compliance.
• Coordinates with DevOps, QA, Security, Infra, and Operations.
• Ensures successful deployment and post-release validation.
• 
  
• Hands-on experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Rally, Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.).
• Proven ability to coach teams and influence stakeholders.
