Innophos is seeking a Plant Controller to join our Plant Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and cost accounting, with experience working in a manufacturing environment. The Plant Controller will be responsible for month end closing activities, account reconciliations, variance analysis, audit sampling & support the plant on inventory counts, expense analysis, any inventory cost related projects and fixed assets.

Key Responsibilities
- This role requires a thorough understanding of Innophos’ financial policies and practices. The Plant Controller is responsible for providing support for plant financial accounting and internal and external reporting
- Reviews process models and costing on products to ensure accuracy as needed
- Conducts comprehensive manufacturing variance analysis weekly/monthly
- Performs plant inventory analysis for finished goods, packaging supplies, and raw materials
- Analyze capital project costs and ensure that costs are within the budget & appropriately recorded
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year end closings that include cut-off and invoice accruals, recording fixed assets placed in service
- Reconcile and analyze key plant accounts
- Provides plant-level support for internal and external audits
- Serve as a key financial advisor for plant leadership
- Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings with production, procurement and maintenance teams to align financial goals
- Completes other accounting tasks as needed
- Some travel will be required (quarterly)
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting/ Finance
- 5 or more years of experience
- Manufacturing cost accounting experience is preferred
- CPA Preferred
- Firm grasp of basic and intermediate accounting principles
- Intermediate level Excel skills
- JD Edwards experience a plus
- Demonstrate the ability to meet challenging deadlines on a consistent basis
- Ability to be a self-starter and communicate effectively
