Quality Control Lab Technician

Quality Control Lab Technician Nashville, TN Operations - Quality Control / Salaried Non-Exempt / Onsite Innophos is recruiting for a Quality Control Laboratory Technician at our Nashville, Tennessee chemical plant. The Lab Tech position is responsible for performing all raw material, in-process, and finished product testing for products produced at the Nashville plant. Key Responsibilities Performing daily calibration checks Running references Entering data into log books, LIMS software programs Prepare and release CoA's for bulk shipments Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry Prior QC experience beneficial Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to comprehend and accurately perform analytical methods Possess a fundamental understanding of mathematics and understand the nature of analytical calculations Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and LIMS software Must be able to: Safely handle corrosive and toxic chemicals Safely work alone when necessary Complete assignments in a timely fashion Maintain a clean work area Visually make color comparisons and identify the presence of foreign materials Interact professionally with supervisors/production employees in busy lab environment Use good documentation skills/organizational skills to record lab results Must have a good attendance record Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, weekends, holidays, and vacation relief Environmental and/or Physical Requirements Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision benefits which start the 1st of the month after hire Annual incentive bonus eligibility based on individual and company performance Tax advantaged health savings and spending accounts 401k eligibility with company match and annual discretionary contribution Time off: vacation, holidays/floating holidays, personal and sick days Company provided Life and Disability Insurance Paid Parental Leave Fitness Membership Reimbursement Program Educational assistance program The benefits set forth in this posting reflect Innophos’ current benefits for similarly situated employees, are subject in all respects to the terms and conditions of the applicable program policies and may be modified or discontinued by Innophos in the future (subject to applicable law).
