We’re hiring a National Security BD Director to join as one of the early U.S. team members at a company at the forefront of the ISAM (In-Space Servicing, Assembly & Manufacturing) market.
Combining advanced space hardware with AI-driven software, they are tackling some of the most critical space security challenges - and you’ll play a key role in building their U.S. presence while leading engagement with defence customers.

They’ve built a unique dual capability:
- AI-powered software platform → threat detection, assessment, and decision-making (understanding intent, behaviour, and risk in orbit)
- Hardware systems → enabling physical response capabilities in space
The strategy is increasingly software-first, helping customers:
- Detect and understand threats
- Make rapid decisions using AI
- Then deploy hardware-based response when needed
This combination is driving strong traction across US and allied defence customers, including organisations such as the United States Space Force.
The Role
This is a frontline Business Development role focused on U.S. national security customers.
You’ll take ownership of opening doors, building pipeline, and driving deals, working closely with a lean team to convert opportunities into revenue.
You'll be:
- Build relationships across DoW and national security stakeholders
- Identify, qualify, and progress new business opportunities
- Lead early-stage conversations and shape customer engagement strategy
- Navigate government contracting pathways (SBIR, OTA, etc.)
- Work closely with lean team to convert opportunities into contracts
- Spend significant time in-market, meeting customers and building presence
You’ll bring:
- Experience in Business Development / Sales into U.S. defence or national security
- A strong network across U.S. DoW including likes of Space Force
- Understanding of procurement and contracting processes (SBIR, OTA, etc.)
- Background in space and defence, with exposure to AI-driven technologies highly beneficial
- Thrives in early-stage environments and knows how to win in defence.
- Ability to operate with autonomy and ownership in a build phase
