We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Systems Developer to join our onsite team. This individual will serve as the technical lead for building and supporting critical business systems developed in the Microsoft suite of analytical products. This encompasses a skillset in Power BI, Azure, Business Central, Microsoft SQL server, and Power Apps.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Microsoft Development Skillset:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI that provide key business insights and performance metrics in the Power BI interface. This includes the ability to develop Datasets and all related components
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server. Must be able to create and edit tables, queries, and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of load balancing and best methods in maintaining the performance of the Datasets within Power BI.
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to design and deliver business applications and solutions using the Microsoft suite of products.
Automation & Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and workflows across business systems using Microsoft Power Automate and other tools within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Engage with 3rd party products as required to advance the integration of the Microsoft suite. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to ensure alignment between business needs and system capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance to other team members, ensuring best practices for data management, reporting, and system integration.
System Security & Compliance:
- Ensure that systems comply with internal security policies, external regulations, and best practices.
- Implement access controls, audit logs, and other security measures to protect sensitive business data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Certifications in Microsoft Power BI, Salesforce, or other relevant technologies a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business systems administration, with significant expertise in Microsoft suite of products.
- Experience in integrating various business systems (e.g. Salesforce, Power BI) and ensuring data flows seamlessly across platforms.
- Strong background in creating and managing complex reports and dashboards, with a focus on providing actionable business insights.
Technical Skills:
- SQL: Strong proficiency in writing complex queries, managing data, and transforming it for analysis.
- DAX: Experience creating calculated columns, measures, and tables using DAX in Power BI.
- M Language: Proficiency in using M Language to manipulate and clean data in Power Query within Power BI and Power Apps.
- Deep experience with Power BI (including report creation, data modeling, and performance optimization).
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services and integration with other business systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate to develop and automate business applications and workflows.
