We are seeking a passionate, service-driven Restaurant Floor Manager to help lead our award-winning dining operation. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives on creating memorable guest experiences, developing teams, and maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage service.
Position Summary
The Restaurant Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, supporting team development, and maintaining operational excellence throughout every service period. The Floor Manager serves as a visible leader on the floor, working closely with the culinary team, restaurant leadership, and hotel operations to deliver a seamless dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all front-of-house service operations during assigned shifts.
- Maintain exceptional guest service standards and proactively resolve guest concerns.
- Coach, mentor, and develop servers, hosts, bussers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate service priorities, menu updates, and guest notes.
- Monitor dining room flow, reservations, seating efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to service standards, grooming expectations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure seamless communication between FOH and BOH teams.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, labor management, and payroll accuracy.
- Support training initiatives for new hires and ongoing team development.
- Monitor inventory levels of service supplies and beverage-related items.
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional workplace culture.
Qualifications
- 2 years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in upscale, fine dining, boutique hotel, or luxury hospitality environments.
- Strong leadership and team-development skills.
- Exceptional communication and guest-relations abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food, wine, cocktails, and elevated service standards.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with POS systems and restaurant reservation platforms preferred.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
