About the Role
As the Director of Clinical Services, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our clinical programs, providing leadership that ensures we meet program goals, maintain compliance, and deliver excellent care. You'll play a critical role in shaping our services, developing staff, and fostering a client-centered environment.
The Director of Clinical Services will provide training and expertise to the team and agency. Seeking a director with specialized training and/or certifications in areas such as ERP, EMDR, Trauma, OCD, ED, Creative Therapies, etc. Also, licensure supervision certification preferred (ACS, CCS).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage adult and teen partial care programs as well as adult, teen, and children's intensive outpatient programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the communities we serve.
- Ensure appropriate treatment and discharge plans, maintaining high standards of care.
- Oversee staff by providing supervision, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with licensure and accreditation standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Monitor program processes to ensure a high quality of client care, client satisfaction, and measurable outcomes.
- Participate in management meetings, community and inter-agency planning, and marketing efforts for the agency as needed.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to achieve programmatic outcomes, including census goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and program growth.
- Ensure staff and client coverage needs are arranged on an ongoing basis and carry a clinical caseload when needed to support program goals.
Qualifications

Education & Credentials
- Master’s degree in family therapy, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related human services field.
- Active professional credential with the State of New Jersey in good standing, such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCADC, or Licensed Psychologist.
- Additional Training or Certifications in ERP, OCD, EMDR, Trauma, ACS, CCS , etc., preferred.
Experience
- A minimum of five years of experience providing youth mental health services.
- A minimum of five years of experience providing adult mental health services.
- At least two years of experience in a supervisory role, working across youth and adult populations.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in crisis intervention and assessment within mental health settings.
- Strong ability to supervise, evaluate, and support clinical staff.
- Familiarity with community support systems, healthcare resources, and regulatory environments.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to professional ethics and maintaining confidentiality.
