Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chicago, IL. The Jr. High Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and leading programs for junior high school students. Daily responsibilities include managing activities, building meaningful relationships with youth, developing and coordinating community outreach initiatives, and ensuring the smooth operation of events and projects. The Coordinator will also oversee volunteers and assist in fostering engagement among students through mentorship, while creating a safe and supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Program Management and Program Development skills, including creating, organizing, and implementing youth programs.
- Strong Communication skills with the ability to connect, engage, and inspire junior high students and collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers.
- Project Management experience to successfully lead activities and events, ensuring their smooth execution and alignment with ICI’s mission.
- Passion for youth mentorship and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children in challenging urban environments.
- Experience in similar fields or roles is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Youth Development, Social Work, or a related field is a plus.
