Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles, including advanced electrical systems, powertrains, transmissions, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize schematics, diagnostic tools, and software to identify root causes of mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Conduct repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair equipment.
- Diagnose and repair gas/diesel engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension components, and alignments with precision.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to execute complex repairs accurately while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance procedures such as fluid changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and system calibrations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Support auto estimating processes by accurately assessing repair requirements and parts needs for efficient workflow management.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience as a Master Diagnostic Technician or similar role with extensive diagnostic skills.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and advanced diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, vehicle alignment procedures, and powertrain repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, diesel engines, welding techniques, and general automotive repair.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic scanners, and specialized automotive service equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics thoroughly for precise troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.
- Valid technician certification(s) such as ASE Master Certification or equivalent; dealership certifications preferred.
