We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and experienced maintenance worker to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic; experience in construction, plumbing, and electrical work; the physical ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds; the ability to respond to maintenance calls promptly; and the ability to help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the hotel property.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to guest room and hotel maintenance requests
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including toilets, sinks, faucets, and drains
- Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, lighting, and fixtures
- Handle general construction and carpentry work such as drywall repair, painting, flooring, and minor renovations
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on hotel equipment and systems
- Ensure hotel grounds, public areas, and facilities remain clean, safe, and functional
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations and after-hours calls when needed
- Operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all hotel safety procedures and local building codes
- Keep maintenance logs and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Work collaboratively with hotel management and staff to ensure guest satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, and general maintenance
- Ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues independently
- Must be available to take on-call maintenance requests
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various physical conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 5 years maintenance or construction experience preferred
Pay: $16.00 per hour
