Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
- Handle various cleaning agents safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols
- Vacuum carpets, sweep, mop floors, and conduct floor care to maintain pristine surfaces
- Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or supplies while following manual handling safety procedures
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in excellent condition and used efficiently
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards to uphold guest safety and hygiene
- Provide friendly customer service by addressing guest requests promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience, preferably within hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments
- Knowledge of floor cleaning, sanitation practices, and chemical agent handling
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors effectively
- Strong understanding of hotel housekeeping management principles and safety protocols
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged standing or walking
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guests and team members
- Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) compliance
