Position Title: Hot Dog Cart Attendant
Reports To: Food & Beverage Manager
Position Summary
The Hot Dog Cart Attendant is responsible for preparing, serving, and selling hot dogs and other menu items while providing outstanding customer service. This position ensures food is prepared safely, the cart remains clean and stocked, and every guest has a fast, friendly, and enjoyable experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet every guest with a friendly, welcoming attitude.
- Prepare and serve hot dogs, sausages, and other menu items according to recipes and food safety standards.
- Assemble orders quickly and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cart, equipment, and surrounding service area.
- Stock food, condiments, beverages, and supplies throughout the shift.
- Monitor product quality and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
- Follow all local health department regulations and food safety guidelines.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setup, breakdown, cleaning, and inventory.
- Report equipment issues or low inventory to management.
- Promote daily specials and encourage additional sales when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one, if required by local regulations).
Physical Requirements
