Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across various systems to provide a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance knowledge, with experience in residential painting, welding, and supervisory responsibilities. Excellent customer service skills and leadership abilities are essential to succeed in this position.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Perform residential painting, welding, and other carpentry tasks as needed for facility upkeep.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to manage building automation systems.
- Supervise maintenance staff or contractors during projects to ensure quality work and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with facilities management tasks such as cleaning, landscaping, and general repairs to uphold hotel standards.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and hotel policies while providing excellent customer service to guests and staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential building repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on skills in welding, electrical systems, schematics reading, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience supervising or leading teams is preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is advantageous.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical systems is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in hospitality or customer service environments is a plus but not required.
