The Inn at Taughannock Falls, outside of Ithaca, NY, is a luxury boutique hotel, restaurant, and event center.
We are looking for experienced culinary professionals who can take on Sous Chef and Senior Line Cook roles, supporting our Executive Chef and forming the backbone of our busy kitchen operations. Work on flavorful and unique a la carte menus, and assist with high volume events and weddings.
Responsibilities
- Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven experience in the culinary field, and with various cuisines
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
Pay rate and bonus structure negotiable based on experience.
Employment period is late March through November.
