Position Summary: Under direct supervision, and working within a secured or restricted area, the Controlled Substance Research Clerk performs routine, detail-oriented clerical tasks with an analytical focus and strong client-service orientation. This position collaborates closely with the client and internal team members to support daily operations. Primary responsibilities include ongoing communication with clients regarding processed data, system functionality, and file maintenance inquiries or issues. The role also manages the flow of data and information between the client, Inmar, and the vendor. This role should maintain a solid understanding of all company services and reporting capabilities and be able to navigate and use the system independently.

Primary Accountabilities
Operational
- Prioritize work items according to client service-level agreement (SLA) requirements
- Issue Return Authorizations (RAs) for product returns to manufacturer clients in a timely and
- Manage inbound returns to prioritize RA issuance based on customer requirements
- Adhere to prescribed routines and practices; maintain detailed, accurate files and records
- Work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks requiring extensive and timely follow up and completion
- Proceed independently and carry out assignments to completion with minimal instruction
- Communicate with installation and programming staff to resolve data issues
- Receive and respond to client requests and inquiries, through written and oral communications
- Work with the client to develop, refine and maintain new processes, per the client’s specifications
- Facilitate the return authorization process for product held in Company centers for return to supplier
- Initiate internal correspondence requiring action from other departments
- Initiate telephone calls and conference calls with internal and external contacts to clearly
- Determine appropriate reports to be used for ad hoc client requests
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
- High School diploma (or its equivalent) required
- 1-3 years experience in the logistics, manufacturing, trucking, or warehouse industry; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position required
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to delegate and prioritize work
- Bilingual a plus but not required
- Competent with Microsoft Office and Google suites; experience using basic office equipment
- Able to follow standard operation procedures and follow instructions
- Able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled
- Able to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as needed
