Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or masking to ensure proper paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and consistency.
- Use ladders safely and effectively to reach high or difficult areas during painting projects.
- Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, and fixtures.
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to complete work efficiently and securely.
- Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of waste materials properly and organizing tools and supplies.
- Inspect finished work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
Experience
- Prior experience in painting or related trades is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with ladder use and working at heights safely is essential.
- Experience with structural painting projects is advantageous.
- Ability to operate brushes proficiently and apply coatings evenly across different surfaces.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality results.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions if working outdoors.
