Job Description:
Inline Photonics is seeking a skilled Optomechanical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fiber optic alignment, fusion splicing, collimator-to-collimator alignment, and opto-mechanical alignment and assembly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform fiber optic alignment and fusion splicing
- Conduct collimator-to-collimator optical alignment
- Carry out precision opto-mechanical alignment and assembly
- Assemble, test, and troubleshoot optical and photonic components and systems
- Work closely with engineering and production teams on prototype and production builds
- Maintain accurate assembly and test records
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with fiber optic alignment and optical assembly
- Experience with fusion splicing and precision alignment
- Familiarity with opto-mechanical components and assembly tools
- Ability to read drawings and follow technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in photonics, fiber optics, or related fields is preferred
Compensation:
$21.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience
