Job Title: Scheduler Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: General Manager of Operations Campus: Kelsey 1 (Visalia)
Schedule: M – F/ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (subject to change based on business needs)
Position Summary:
The Scheduler supports the Scheduling Coordinator/General Manager with daily coordination of outbound orders, verifying product availability, and maintaining accurate scheduling documentation. This role ensures shipping schedules are complete, timely, and communicated clearly to warehouse teams, carriers, and customers.
The position will be based at our Kelsey 1 (Visalia) location. However, training may take place at either Kelsey 1 or Chestnut (Fresno), depending on business needs. All travel time and mileage during any required training will be fully compensated in accordance with company policy.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in entering outbound orders onto the Daily Shipping Schedule.
- Verify product availability and communicate shortages or delays to the Scheduling Coordinator.
- Coordinate with carriers to secure container numbers, pick-up times, and appointment confirmations.
- Update and revise scheduled ship dates based on product availability or customer changes.
- Prepare shipment labels and documentation for outbound and special-labeled orders.
- Support communication between Warehouse, Customer Service, Production, and Scheduling teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation, scheduling records, and shipping updates.
- Provide timely updates to Dairy America and other external partners as directed.
- Review inventory discrepancies and escalate to the Scheduling Coordinator when needed.
- Assist with administrative and data-entry tasks related to scheduling and logistics.
- Provide backup support for the Scheduling Coordinator during absences or peak workload periods.
- Monitor daily schedule changes and help ensure updates are communicated promptly across departments.
- Maintain organized digital and physical scheduling files to support audits and operational accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Educations Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-3 years of administrative, logistics support, dispatching, or warehouse coordination experience
- Experience in distribution, transportation, or supply chain environments
- Familiarity with scheduling, dispatch operations, or shipping workflows

This position is primarily performed in a standard office environment with frequent coordination and communication with warehouse operations. The role may require occasional walkthroughs of warehouse areas where temperatures, noise levels, and environmental conditions may vary. The work environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, with shifting priorities based on operational needs.
The Scheduler must be able to sit or stand for extended periods while performing computer-based and administrative tasks. The role requires regular use of a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be needed when handling documents, labels, or related materials. The position requires attention to detail, consistent focus, and the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
