We are seeking upbeat, reliable Certified Athletic Trainers who are looking for a long-term career in the orthopaedic healthcare field. The applicant would work closely with our clinicians performing various clinical tasks. We hold clinics in our Moscow Office and our Pullman Office. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

- Experience with an electronic medical records system, preferably Epic
- Knowledge of medical terminology

- Ability to exhibit cooperation, flexibility, and provide assistance when interfacing with patients, physicians and staff

- Consistency and timeliness in attendance
- Triage referrals and works closely with the surgery schedulers, referral coordinator and front desk team members in processing referrals.
Job Duties
- Rooming patients and preparing initial intake of patients by performing the following but not limited to:
- May conduct initial brief physical assessment of involved extremity or body part
- taking patient history and vitals, intake patient information: past surgical history review of body systems, social history and review of medications
- Removing sutures and preparing injections
- Verifying images are available and loaded
- Assisting with cast application and removal
- Assisting with patient education and various patient paperwork
- Triaging patient needs and applying critical thinking in treatment plans
- Maintaining efficient patient flow by cleaning exam rooms between patients
- Preparing physical therapy orders and scheduling therapy
- Tracking medical supply inventory and ordering and stocking medical supply room and exam rooms
- Point of contact with product representative(s) for specialty area for physician(s) product needs
- Liaison for surgeon or mid-level conveying information to patients
- Works to develop and implement outreach program development
- May perform research and assist with writing articles as directed by Surgeon
- May provide crucial surgeon support in the OR, such as:
- Ordering and interpreting tests
- Assisting in surgery
- Managing post-operative care
- Uploads supporting documentation and authorization information into the EMR consistent with organization electronic record policy.
- Training of clinical staff
- Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and of equipment and supplies needed for procedures. Point person and physician liaison in specialty office.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters of Science degree, in Athletic Training
- Doctorate not required but will be compensated for advanced education DOE
- Current BLS and State of Idaho & Washington Training License. NATA certified preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and customers.
- Competent in computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
- Communicate effectively answering phones and speaking with patients & others.
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
- Ability to read and write clearly, and understand policies, labels, and written instructions.
