Inland North Waste is seeking a positive, self motivated, and innovative individual to fill our full-time Roll Off Driver position.
This critical role involves the collection and delivery of roll-off containers and compactors to both residential and commercial clients. Responsibilities include the pick up of compactors and roll-off boxes, meticulous documentation of collection activities, adherence to vehicle pre- and post-trip inspection standards, providions of superior customer service and active support of team operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate roll-off trucks and trailers in a safe and responsible manner.
- Contribute constructively as a team member by offering professional feedback.
- Execute all activities according to the scheduled delivery and collection plan, and proactively suggest improvements.
- Comply with and model all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Maintain company equipment and materials, ensuring cleanliness and safe storage.
- Verify proper equipment functionality through regular inspections.
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisors to ensure timely service at job sites.
- Report any equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
- Perform minor vehicle and machinery repairs as necessary.
- Conduct thorough daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections at the end of each shift, and report any issues or damage on the VCR (vehicle condition report) .
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company rules.
- Provide valuable input and recommendations concerning customer service, routing, and other aspects of the Roll-Off program.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with driver uniform requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License in good standing.
- No manual restrictions.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a driving record free of serious tickets or accidents within the past three years.
- Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
- Possess strong documentation and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and assume additional responsibilities.
- Work effectively and cooperatively within a team environment.
- Satisfactory completion of a background check as required by INW.
- Negative drug test results.
- Uphold professional standards reflective of INW values.
