GOpak is a family-owned flexible packaging company that prints, supplies, and distributes packaging pouches and roll stock products. We are seeking a Pouch Operator to join our growing team.
Location: 206 Enterprise Road Delafield, WI 53018
Starting Wage: $23.00/hour - $26.00/hour $1.50/hour shift premium
Shift: 2nd
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday 2:00pm – 12:00am
Typical Day in the Role:
The Pouch Operator is responsible for tasks that include:
- Configures and operates pouching equipment by performing setup, start-up, and changeovers; aligns tooling to job specifications; and ensures production quality and throughput by following standard operating procedures.
- Makes decisions regarding quality and performance standards by performing multiple quality checks and tests to ensure all products meet physical and visual requirements.
- Monitors production throughout the run, making adjustments to reduce waste and improve productivity, while recommending strategies for efficient use of materials, equipment, and scheduling.
- Problem solves issues that arise
- Effectively work as a team member to meet production and company goals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree
- 2 years of related manufacturing or print converting experience, including handling web printing materials (continuous rolls), and/or equivalent training or education
- Proficient computer skills with the ability and desire to learn new systems and processes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and operate complex production equipment efficiently
- Detail-oriented with fine attention to detail.
- Problem-solver with the ability to make independent decisions.
- Required to communicate frequently and effectively with coworkers, other departments, various levels of management, and suppliers to ensure GOpak continues to reduce total cost, while increasing customer satisfaction.
