Lewis Center for Entrepreneurship at California State University, San Bernardino, supports women entrepreneurs through business counseling, training, and mentoring services. With a focus on serving women business owners in the Inland Empire to start or scale their business. Located in Riverside, San Bernardino and Temecula, California, the center is committed to empowering the local business community. Role Description
The Business Counselor is a part-time, on-site position based in Riverside, Temecula, and San Bernardino, CA. The primary responsibilities include providing individualized business counseling, assisting clients with the development and review of business plans, and guiding them on financial planning, marketing strategies, and operational improvements. The role also involves delivering workshops and training on key business topics, analyzing client needs to offer tailored advice, and supporting the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. The counselor will collaborate with other team members to ensure the overall success of IEWBC programs while maintaining a client-centric approach.

Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills to assess business performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Expertise in Consulting and Management Consulting to provide practical and strategic business advice.
- Effective Communication skills to convey ideas clearly, build client relationships, and deliver workshops.
- Knowledge of Finance to assist clients with budgeting, financial planning, and accessing capital.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a team and engage with diverse communities.
- Experience with small business development and entrepreneurship is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a closely related field preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly advantageous.
