Appointment Scheduler
Job Title/Position: Appointment Scheduler/Daily Job Responsibilities
Reports To: Service Center Lead/Practice Administrator
Job Description Summary
Responsible for making, scheduling, or rescheduling patient appointments for various visits in the office. Ensure patient demographics are entered accurately into system. Make sure authorizations are in the system before scheduling.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Books, coordinates and reschedules patient appointments as needed.
- Schedules appointments with ancillary departments or other care providers as needed.
- Help Answer phones.
- Provides coverage for the front desk reception area including check in/checking out patients as needed.
- Provides general directions and information to all callers, visitors and provides assistance as needed.
- Assists patients with questions regarding accounts.
- Make follow up appointments as needed.
- Call and confirm patient appointments to ensure schedule is kept accurate for providers.
- Other duties as assigned by Service Center Coordinator.
- Help with faxes on a daily basis and make sure that the appropriate faxes are sent to the proper departments.
Position Qualifications:
Excellent customer service.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to effectively present information to patients, physician, and employees.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous experience in a medical office environment preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour
