Starting pay: $28.00/hour
- Shoulder/Summer (May–September): Four 10-hour days, Monday–Thursday, 0500–1530.
- Peak/Winter (October–April): Rotating shifts and days off, driven by operational needs.
IDS focuses exclusively on safe, efficient deicing and anti-icing for airline partners and environmental services for airports. We are a winter operations company—your work directly supports safe, on-time departures.
Equipment you’ll keep mission‑ready- Heavy-duty deicer trucks
- GRV (Glycol Recovery Vehicle) trucks
- Wastewater trucks
- Light-duty support vehicles
- Ground service equipment (GSE)
- Own local maintenance scheduling and performance to maximize fleet reliability.
- Complete skilled maintenance work following established procedures and standards.
- Use manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, schematics, blueprints, and related documents to execute tasks accurately.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and hydraulic faults within defined timeframes.
- Maintain precise records, and perform scheduled/unscheduled inspections using our maintenance management software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; age 18 .
- Meets federal requirements to obtain an airport badge.
- Effective verbal hearing/speaking; ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Personal tool set required: sockets/wrenches up to 1" and up to 1/2" drive, plus toolbox.
- Time-management and organizational skill to juggle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of fluid types; diesel-powered machines and tools—their use, repair, and upkeep.
- Professional discretion with confidential information; strong team orientation and tact with colleagues and clients.
- Hands-on experience with standard/specialty tools and test instruments (e.g., photo tachometer, diagnostic tools/hardware, scanners, meters).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel TDY to other IDS airport stations when requested.
- Physically demanding; extended standing; exposure to loud noise (at times excessive), safe yet occasionally unpleasant odors, fluctuating temperatures/humidity, and working in proximity to heavy moving equipment.
- Frequent use of hands to handle/feel tools and controls; reaching with hands/arms; clear speaking and hearing.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
