A leading hospitality development and project management firm is seeking an experienced Senior Project Director to lead complex resort and hospitality development projects throughout Hawaii. This senior leadership role oversees all phases of development, design, and construction, serving as a trusted advisor to clients while driving project success from concept through completion. Responsibilities

• Lead hospitality and resort development projects through planning, design, construction, and project closeout.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate project teams including owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Monitor project budgets, cost trends, and construction draw processes.
• Establish and maintain project schedules while proactively addressing risks and challenges.
• Oversee design development, bidding, contract negotiations, and construction execution.
• Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
• Provide project updates and strategic recommendations to leadership and clients.
• Support business development efforts and cultivate relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 15 years of experience in architecture, real estate development, construction, or a related field.
• Significant experience with hospitality, hotel, resort, or mixed-use development projects.
• Strong understanding of the full development lifecycle, including entitlements, planning, design, permitting, construction, and project closeout.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and consultant teams.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project or similar project management tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout the Hawaiian Islands as needed.
